Pastor was appointed to Mt Calvary in September 2020 by the Right Reverend John Franklin White, the (now retired) 130th elected and consecrated Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and Supervisor Penny Hatsfield White. 

 

She continues to serve our congregation under the appointment of the Right Reverend Frederick Wright, the 134th elected and consecrated Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and Supervisor Jennifer White. 

In September 2024, Pastor was appointed to Visitors Chapel AME Church.  We now worship together and look forward to merging our churches in the near future.

        Baptisms

Baptism is an outward sign, a public declaration of committing oneself to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We declare our faith in Jesus Christ through baptism.  Baptism symbolizes the washing away of sins and the start of a new life.  Sin is whatever and whoever tries to come between us and our relationship with God.  God wants us to acknowledge God so God can help us be the best and healthiest we can be!

A new life does not mean your past no longer exists.  A new life in Christ means that you and God will begin a lifelong journey together. God has always been with you.  The 139the Psalm beautifully lets us know that God was present when our biological parents conceived us in our mother's womb.  Learn more about baptism by reading Matthew 28:19-20.  Jesus instructs his disciples to baptize new believers in the name of our heaving
